PhotoHunt Theme: Bird(s)
"Bird(s)" is the theme this week.

When we went to Lake Tahoe with my parents in September 2008 my husband and I drove around the lake. On the far side of the lake we stopped at Gar Woods Grill & Pier for lunch. Since it was so beautiful out, we ate outside on the deck. A few tables away from us I saw a little bird land looking for crumbs on the table. At first I thought that it had it's right leg tucked up like a flamingo. But it turned out to only have a left leg. It stood on the table for about 5 minutes, just looking around and then it flew away. ~~~~~ ~~~~~

Awwww... poor little thing! Great photos though.
Makes me wonder what happened to his other leg.
I am so glad you had your camera at the ready to capture this bird...it's amazing how nature can adapt.....thank you for sharing...
Great capture.
Amazing how it can stand on that one splindly leg. Hope it managed to survive for many (bird) years.
oh, poor little bird! i hope he was born with just one leg.:(
That's great that the bird is doing well with only one leg. Happy weekend.

Poor little birdie.
I don't know how birds do that! I can't stand on one leg for very long, that's for sure.
