Porch Kitties found a Bunny!

I went out to the porch and found China Cat and Willow looking very intently at something on the other side of the screen. They didn't even notice me. I usually try to see whatever they are looking at and sometimes I don't see anything! But today they found a bunny under the bush right outside of the screened-in porch.That bunny had no idea that there were two cats watching it very intently. Willow actually could not see the bunny from this angle.
But she did see a squirrel that she became very interested in watching.China Cat turned around and continued watching the bunny... Here's the bunny who just continued eating grass,
never realizing he/she was being watched!

PhotoHunt Theme: Unique/Funny Signs

The theme this week is "unique/funny signs" and I found some signs that weren't actually funny but I was somewhat amused when I read them as they were posted near each other
at the entrance to the Route 66 State Park in Eureka, Missouri.
And, unfortunately due to the flooding, the park was really closed.This last one my husband just liked and asked me to photograph it - I guess it would go under the "unique" category! It was hanging in the same area by the Visitor's Center at the Route 66 State Park in Eureka, Missouri. This park is almost 420 acres and the Visitor's Center was actually built in 1935 as a roadhouse called Bridgehead Inn. There are also displays that show how the former resort community of Times Beach became the park as it is today. I found out when setting up my post today the Zoey is lost in Kentucky somewhere and hopefully will be found soon. Here is the information:
This beagle belongs to TNChick. She does the Photo Hunters every week.
Her precious Zoey is missing. Last seen Tuesday April 22.
If, by slim chance, this is being read by someone in that area… and you find her
(4 year old, female, spayed, tri-color, was/is wearing a black harness)
contact TNChick via email PLEASE.
Her email is blog (at) tnchick (dot) com.
Her blog is HERE

PhotoHunt Theme: Thirteen (13)

The theme this week is "thirteen (13)" and one day last week I went out to the backyard to take pictures of three ducks that had landed by the pool. We had been having a lot of rain so the back of the property was very much drenched with water.
The duck
s love to go back there to eat our grass and grass seed in the mud!
~~~~~
To my surprise, I found 13 different faces out there!
So the three ducks were my first faces (faces #1, #2 and #3) that I found.
Then I also found a bunny (face #4) by the back fence. There was a robin (face # 5) on the grass. In the neighbor's yard their dog (face #6) was investigating. Another robin (face #7) was seen in another neighbor's yard. Two bunnies (faces #8 and #9)were over by the tree... which Willow (face #10) was watching. China Cat (face #11) was talking to me.
She wanted to go out and eat grass.
A squirrel (face #12) was watching from the tree. And my 13th face was on that tree!
Remembering and Praying
UPDATE: The best news ever has come from the Cat Blogosphere! All three kitties were found today. They were hiding but Mom Laura has them back again!
~~~~~
We have had very sad news in the Cat Blogosphere yesterday.
There was a terrible fire at the building where
Mom Laura lives with her cats Lilly Lu, Mu Shue and Iris on Friday.
Mom Laura was at work but doesn't know where the kitties are.
It seems that a sliding glass door was left open
so we are hoping the cats escaped and will soon be found.
~~~~~
There is more information at the Cat Blogosphere.
Please keep them in your prayers.
More sad news - Miral has gone to the Rainbow Bridge today.
Please keep her family at Kattenpraat's Catwalk in your prayers.
You are welcome to use either picture on your blogs, if you wish.
PhotoHunt Theme: Twist(ed)
The theme this week is "twist(ed)"
and a chain link fence is certainly twisted wire!
I also visited our Botanical Garden in October of 2006 when they were holding an exhibition of the glass art of Dale Chihuly all around the Garden. It's very clever how the Dale Chihuly glass is "twisted". The yellow glass was put up on both sides of the Rose Garden. Inside the Ridgeway Center was hanging a huge blue chandelier. In fact, the Garden did get to keep the chandelier through donations. Most of the other outside pieces moved on to other places. Here is the top. This is the center. This is the bottom half of the chandelier.
You can see how small the people in the left corner look compared to
how huge this chandelier actually is!
PhotoHunt Theme: Glass and WCB #148
The theme this week is "glass" and these were a few of the glass items I found. China Cat and Willow love to sleep in a cat bed which is on my desk. That way they can easily look out the glass window right by the cat glass wine bottles. The bottles look pretty when the sun shines through the window in the morning.These are the three kittens that live at the Winery
that we like to visit, along with their mom and dad (not pictured).
It was dinner time and they are peering through the glass door
to see if someone was coming out to feed them!
A couple of weeks ago the two calico kittens were adopted.
And, of course, here is one of my all-time favorite pictures of Willow enjoying some water from a glass pitcher on top of my refrigerator! Weekend Cat Blogging #148 is being hosted by the Bad Kitty Cats
at the Bad Kitty Cats New House!
