WCB #98 - Blooming Edition

BC (Black Cat) lives with my Aunt in Louisiana,
where we are visiting this weekend.
I'll have more about BC and the trip to Louisiana later
but wanted to get this into Weekend Cat Blogging
with S'kat and the Food.
It's a first time hosting for S'kat
and although I didn't have any flowers in BC's picture,
he does look lovely in the greenery.

Winery Kitty Wednesday

The last time we drove out to the winery it was beautiful out but quite cold.
Here is the view from the porch. We found Phantom and CC waiting for dinner. Love those crunchies! I put my Mardi Gras hat down while I was taking pictures
because it was windy out and I thought it might blow off.

Then she had to check out all sides
of this strange unknown on her porch.
I guess it was OK with her since she just walked away
after all the sniffing was done!








The sun was setting over the river on our way home.
It was simply beautiful.
Friday Ark has boarded yesterday,

and Carnival of Cats is at Scribblings
So, it's time to visit all those cats!

Alice and Biscuit - Mardi Gras Festivities

Alice is my grand-kitty and she is ready for Mardi Gras!We were able to put this tiara on her head...
for a little while anyway! Biscuit lives with my in-laws.
She is a very nice and sweet dog.
When I was asked to feed her the other day,
it just so happened
that it was close to Mardi Gras time...
So I brought beads and feathers with me...I also thought that she would look quite fetching
in this Mardi Gras feather boa.
Of course, it would contrast quite nicely
with her black fur and dark eyes!
As you can see, she looked terrific! Happy Mardi Gras from Alice and Biscuit!!!

Tummy Tuesday

Rosie is a rescued dachshund who was staying at my in-law's neighbor's house while she was waiting to have her babies. I had never seen a pregnant dachshund before and was amazed that she could still run around. Her belly was almost touching the ground! She had 7 beautiful little puppies.

My Daughter's Birthday

Today is my daughter's birthday!

Since it is early Saturday morning, I'll be waiting until later to call her with happy birthday wishes - it's not a good idea to call early and wake her up!

My daughter gave me this unicorn coffee cup for my birthday approximately 25 years ago. I use it alot but always on both my birthday and her birthday.

So, this morning's Pineapple Ginger Green Tea is raised

in honor of her birthday!

Lucy was "perfect"

Lucy went to get groomed and she received a perfect score.
She was very happy when we picked her up.

Still Veteran's Day

We went to the winery to see our friends on Veteran's Day.

This is Chico.

He enjoys roaming all around the winery. You know, people sometimes tend to drop very dog-worthy snacks there!




And he showed us one of his tricks. If you put a biscuit on his nose and you tell him "wait", he will actually leave the biscuit there until you tell him it's all right to eat it. Naturally China Cat and Willow don't want to be outdone by Chico's trick, so they will wave the flag for Veteran's Day.







OK, they weren't really waving so much as playing with it!

Wednesday we went to the winery and I was lucky enought to get some more winery kitty pictures.

Some Halloween Pets

This is Biscuit, my in-law's dog. She was actually dressed in bunny ears by my nephew for Easter a few years back but I think that it would also make a good Halloween costume! The last time I posted about Biscuit was when she had a cast on her leg.
She is all better now and I'll have to find some more pictures to post of her.

My cats don't really like to dress up but I do have some Halloween pictures of them.










And I'm still working on the "dressing up part" although so far they are not exactly cooperating!

Kitties @ The Winery

These kitties live at Sugar Creek Winery.








They have a mother named Phantom.





I think that I may have a picture of her but she is quite skittish.


She has not passed on her skittish traits to her kids. Actually they were kind of friendly to all of the people that wanted to pet them.

Lucy the Dog

This is Lucy.
I don't know what kind of dog she is but she is very lovable.

Lucy lives with a best friend of mine.
She used to be a basement dog but now she is an upstairs dog.
I don't know if she likes getting baths
but her fur feels like silk afterward.

she likes a good tummy rub too!
