WCB: Filters and my Cats

I was playing with a picture of China Cat and Willow that I had set at the indoor incandescent setting. It wasn't supposed to be set there as I was taking their picture in the screened-in porch with natural daylight. But I had forgotten to check it before I took their picture. Pictures turn out very blue when that setting is used outdoors. So the first picture here is the original out of the camera with no changes. The program I have is Photoshop Elements 6 and I played around with the filters until I got the colors to look more realistic for a daytime outdoors picture. Since I was having fun so far, I decided to try making their picture black and white. I'm not sure that this was the best picture to try making black and white though. So I used the filter called Poster Edges and I kind of like it... Weekend Cat Blogging is being hosted this week

Off to California...

A couple of weeks ago we went to California
for a wedding of a very good friend.
Here are some of the pictures I took our first day there.

Anniversary Dinner...

Having married in St. Louis quite a few years ago,
I decided that we should try an anniversary dinner
with a St. Louis Theme.Both China Cat and Willow were fascinated with the roses...There were a lot of smells from those flowers...And I guess, according to Willow,
they also tasted pretty darn good...Most weddings in St. Louis will have some sort of mostacioli
(spell and pronounce as you wish!) at the reception,
and ours was no exception.
We also have Pasta House in St. Louis with their famous Pasta House Salad.
Of course, with the pasta and salad, you must have cheese garlic bread! And dessert was another classic: Gooey Butter Cake.

Mom and Dad live in a different state than us so we won't get to see them but we will call tonight. Whenever my parent's come to visit we always have pizza the first night.
So, for Dad's birthday RDG picked out two Trader Joe's Pizzas.
We are having Goat Cheese and Roasted Tomato Pizza
and Pizza Pomodoro.

To surprise Dad, China Cat & Willow got ready for his birthday party.
They were a little disappointed that he couldn't really come to their party.
To ease their disappointment, they both received Temptations
and everyone was happy! Kashim and Othello are hosting
Weekend Cat Blogging #111 over at Paulchen's FoodBlog.
They already have quite a few cats listed so it's time to visit all those kitties!
